Better Communication or just 'The Right Thing to Do'?

"Location! Location! Location!" is the Real Estate Agent's mantra, while those looking for work in a sluggish economy might be better served with "Patience! Patience! Patience!" It's been almost 3 months since my return to Mumbai, India. And I am still unemployed. I don't know what to make of it. After having worked for 2 years in Italy as an Indian Market Consultant for the Business Promotion and Development arm of a State Agency successfully and having completed my Executive MBA (EMBA) from a school considered worldwide to be in the top 15 for the EMBA program, I am still unemployed. I now have over 6 years of work experience working for several sectors and am about to make a new journey post my EMBA. Better deterrents needed for crime against women!

A country that cannot protect its women should be ashamed of its law and order implementation and the judiciary should not only ask probing questions, but also set a precedent punishing the perpetrators of the various crimes committed again st women. The crimes committed against women from the rural areas of Uttar Pradesh to the growing cities of Gurgaon and Pune were probably always happening, but with greater voice, the women are thankfully coming forward and reporting these. The police in most states is good when it comes to nabbing the accused, but in some others, they have not bothered to provide timely help, lazy with the 'could-not-be-bothered' attitude. What they fail to realize is that nabbing the accused isn't enough since the damage has already been done. The perpetrators, who have been found guilty of crimes against women should be punished more severely and made examples of since the current punishment apparently doesn't deter enough.
